Speed Back Walkthrough

Speed Back is a football game presented by ESPN. Speed Back features great graphics, realistic, fluid animations, and fun gameplay.

The objective of Speed Back is to score touchdowns. At the beginning of the game, you are given three lives, which are represented by the footballs in the lower-left of the screen. If you are tackled by opposing defenders or run out of bounds, you will lose a life and have to start the level from the beginning. Lives are gained after every third touchdown that you score.

As you progress in this football game, the game ramps up the challenge by speeding up the defenders. You will have to be quick on your feet to fake out the opposition and run the ball into the end zone!

Speed Back also features two moves that you may use to help you to get into the end zone: stiff-arming and spinning. To stiff-arm a defender, press the A key. Stiff-arming is good for clearing opponents that are directly in front of you. You may also spin by pressing the S key. Spinning is good to use just before you are about to be tackled in order to evade the attack. You may only use these moves once each per run, so use them wisely!

Finally, Speed Back features a speed -boosting powerup that may occasionally appear on the field. If you run over this powerup, you will be given a quick burst of forward speed. This powerup does not make you invincible from being tackled, however, so you should avoid picking it up if there are defenders directly ahead of you (unless you can stiff-arm them out of the way)!
